I'm Jill Young, an actor, facilitator, historical interpreter, divisor, story teller, mum, mum-in-law and celebrant. I currently live in Congleton, Cheshire but work throughout the Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire and Derbyshire areas. To become a celebrant is something I've wanted for a long while and to be able to work in partnership with people during times of great joy or indeed great sadness is something I bring compassion, humour, professionalism and personality to.

 

Calm, organised and above all friendly and approachable, I trust my maturity (I'm approaching 60! Gosh, where did that go!) will inspire confidence. I believe I'm easy to talk to and that I'm a good listener but equally I'm very creative with years in theatre and events tucked away. If you want a themed event, as an actor this is no problem. Part of my attention to detail means that my appearance will reflect your event, by that a traditional hand-fasting in a forest to a formal memorial service.

I would be there to enhance your ceremony, to allow you to completely relax and immerse yourselves in the day, secure in the knowledge that I'm with you every step of the way to make a truly memorable occasion for all involved.

I hold a City & Guilds Celebrant qualification, having trained with the Regent College and I'm also a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants. I specialise in full traditional Celtic, nature centred handfastings!
